Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero – Best Porunga Wishes, Ranked

Dragon Ball: Sparking!

Zero is the latest video game release set in the immensely popular world of Dragon Ball, a tenured and beloved anime franchise that continues to stand the test of time. The game features an episode mode, containing 'What If' scenarios that allow the player to experience different events from the show.

There are also custom episodes, tournament modes, offline battles, online battles, and a ranked competitive mode. The game lovingly recreates the feel and look of Dragon Ball, providing an authentic experience for fans.

One large element in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is the Wishes system, allowing players to summon three of the dragons from the franchise and utilize their wishes.

These dragons are Shenron, Porunga, and Super Shenron, each with wishes that boost players' progress or unlock new characters and outfits. Porunga is the Namekian dragon, summoned through the use of the Namekian Dragon Balls that were introduced in Dragon Ball Z. Just like in the show, players can use three wishes upon summoning Porunga, rather than the one wish granted by both Shenron and Super Shenron.

That being said, players cannot unlock all Porunga rewards in those three wishes, and thus, it is beneficial to know what wishes players should prioritize.

4 I Want More Zeni

Gives The Player Some Zeni

Zeni is the main currency in the Dragon Ball universe, and the currency that allows players to purchase characters, cosmetics, and items in Sparking Zero.

The "I want more Zeni" wish is one present with each of the dragons, offering a different amount depending on which dragon players call upon. Super Shenron offers 1,000,000 Zeni, Shenron offers 300,000, and Porunga offers 120,000 Zeni per wish. Players can use all three wishes on the Zeni wish if they so choose, totaling 360,000 Zeni.

This is the least beneficial wish, regardless of whether players wish one or three times for the Zeni bonus.

This is because players will receive Zeni for any activity in the game, be it episode battles, PvE fights, tournaments, or PvP battles. There are far better uses for the Porunga wishes, as shall be detailed further down this list, meaning players should only use the Zeni wish on Porunga if they are in desperate need of quick Zeni, or if they have already gained the exclusive titles and thus have wishes to spare.

3 I Want You To Raise My Player Level

Raises Player Level

The "I want you to raise my player level" wish is another wish found with each of the dragons.

Players can use this to gain experience, which will raise their player level. Players at a higher level can purchase more items and characters within the store. For example, level 20 unlocks the option to purchase Goku Black. Each of the dragons offers a different amount of experience, with Shenron offering the least, Porunga offering more, and then Super Shenron offering the most.

This is another less important wish, as players gain experience for completing many activities within the game, including PvE, PvP, and in the episode mode.

The episode mode in particular is beneficial for gaining experience, as many players will find themselves completing it to unlock characters regardless of their preferred mode, thus gaining an influx of experience and likely reaching the maximum level of 20 regardless. This means that this Porunga wish will ultimately be inconsequential to many players by the time they have enough Namekian Dragon Balls to summon Porunga.

2 I Want More Titles

Provides Porunga Exclusive Titles

Titles are enhancements players can add to their player card, allowing for customization for players who are interested in PvP content.

Titles can be earned for the completion of several activities and achievements, with each dragon offering unique titles that can only be gained through wishes.

The exclusivity of these titles is what makes this wish more valuable than the previous two options. Any player can earn Zeni or experience through all content in Sparking Zero, whereas Porunga offers exclusive titles that cannot be obtained in any other way.

Porunga offers the titles, 'World Domination,' 'Moneybags,' and 'Fancy Necklace.' 'World Domination' is a reference to Emperor Pilaf's plans in both the original Dragon Ball series and in Dragon Ball GT, in which he was going to ask Shenron and Ultimate Shenron for world domination.

1 I Want Ability Items

Provides Useful Ability Items

The most useful wish from Porunga is the "I want ability items" wish.

Ability items in Dragon Ball: Sparking!

Zero are items that provide benefits to players and give them an edge in combat. These benefits can be ki and health recharge when underwater, as seen with the Water's Blessing item, or abilities such as the one provided by Miracle Master that auto-dodges characters when downed. Players should use ability items to gain an advantage, especially when farming Dragon Balls.

Whilst ability items can be purchased, a lot of the massively beneficial items are locked behind player level 20, and all of them cost Zeni.

This means it is more effective for players to wish for the harder-to-earn ability items. Porunga offers the following items: Super Transformation, Broly's Ring, Water's Blessing, and Miracle Master. The best one of these to wish for is Broly's Ring, which is available to wish for up to three times.

This is because it can only be wished for, and is not available in any shop, meaning it is by far the most exclusive item that has a practical use in all of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
