When it comes to resolution, there are only two options in the 360Hz gaming monitor space. They are either full HD (1920x1080p) or 2K QHD (2560x1440p) monitors, so keep that in mind. ASUS’s ROG Swift lineup of PC peripherals is not only the best in the company’s lineup, but among the best in the entire market, if not the best altogether.

As part of its high performing gaming monitors, the ROG Swift PG27AQN is one that refreshes at 360Hz with a response time of 1ms (GtG), making it one of the fastest gaming monitors in the world. It is a 27-inch IPS panel rated for a typical brightness of 400 nits and a peak HDR brightness of 600 nits.

At 27 inches, the PG27AQN features the perfect resolution of 2560x1440p, which is much easier to drive than 4K or ultrawide options. The gaming monitor has accurate colors out of the box, supports HDR10, and is also certified by DisplayHDR 600 VESA standard. Another feature that makes this one of the fastest and most responsive gaming monitors is the Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) 2 technology, which prevents any crosstalk or double images that is common when the screen is refreshing at such a high refresh rate.

There is also a flip-out headphone hanger that is not the sturdiest but does the job. Those looking to wall mount this monitor or put it on an arm will appreciate the VESA 100x100 compatibility. Taking a small step up from the budget-friendly Alienware offering, the Acer Nitro XV252Q comes at a slightly higher price point but brings a few newer features that are missing on the budget model.

The Nitro XV252Q stands as the best mid-range 360Hz gaming monitor thanks to its DisplayHDR 400 certification and inclusion of an HDMI 2.1 port. It is still a 1080p monitor at 24.5 inches, but with an IPS display that is rated for 1ms (GtG) response time. Another addition is the two 2W speakers built into the monitor.

It is a pretty standard looking gaming monitor with slim bezels on three sides and a basic stand that doesn't win any awards in the design department. Speaking of the stand, the Acer Nitro XV252Q’s stand allows for height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and even pivot. The monitor also supports VESA 100x100 wall mounting.

The gaming experience is made smoother with AMD FreeSync but, of course, there is no Nvidia G-Sync support, which is no surprise. Those looking for pure high refresh rate gaming without any extra bells and whistles will find the Acer Nitro XV252Q checks all the right boxes, without leaving a massive hole in the pocket.

Plus, at the time of writing, this monitor is heavily discounted on Newegg, making it an even better deal than it already is. When budget is of no concern and the absolute best is what gamers want, the Acer Predator XB273U leads the pack. Being a premium offering, it brings all the top-tier specifications one would expect, such as a 2560x1440p IPS panel, DisplayHDR 600 certification with accurate colors, Nvidia G-Sync support, and, of course, a 360Hz refresh rate.

All this and more has been stuffed into a sleek and modern-looking package. Speaking of aesthetics, there are slim bezels on three sides of the Predator XB273U and a Y-shaped stand that does not take up a lot of space on the desk. It supports height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and pivot, as well as allows for VESA 100x100 wall mounting.

There is also a slit in the stand for the cables to be routed through in a more organized manner. Coming back to the specifications, the Predator XB273U is among the fastest monitors in the market thanks to its 0.4ms (GtG) response time. There are two 2W speakers that aren’t going to be the loudest or the clearest but are always good to have.

It does add to the overall price though. It comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.0 ports, which is somewhat disappointing as, at this price point, there should be at least one HDMI 2.1 port. Fortunately, the Predator XB273U has plenty of features ready to make up for the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports.

At under $300, the Lenovo Legion Y25g-30 is an absolute steal, and probably the best 360Hz monitor when it comes to value. It features a 24.5-inch IPS panel with 1080p resolution and 1ms (GtG) response time. It not only supports Nvidia G-Sync but comes with Nvidia’s ULMB technology as well as Reflex Latency Analyzer, which allows you to easily measure system latency when tweaking the settings to achieve the lowest latency.

The Lenovo Legion Y25g-30 boasts 400 nits peak brightness and HDR decoding, but there is no official VESA HDR certification, so take that with a grain of salt. There are ample connectivity options as well, including one DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.0 ports. There is also a USB hub which includes three USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port.

The Y-shaped stand that comes with the Lenovo Legion Y25g-30 allows for height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot. Lenovo has also incorporated adjustable RGB ambient lighting that can be set to change colors according to what’s on the screen. Another surprising feature at this price point is the inclusion of dual 3W speakers that are better than even the much more expensive monitors, though most gamers will stick to their headsets.

The MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED is arguably a contender for the best 360Hz monitor overall, but the ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQN simply offers better value. The MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED has the best display out of all the 360Hz gaming monitors thanks to its 27-inch OLED panel that has 2560x1440p resolution, delivering a crisp and clear image.

Among the top of the line features that are baked into this 27-inch package, the ultrafast 0.03ms (GtG) response time and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification take the cake. It should be noted that the monitor only supports 250 nits typical brightness, so don’t expect the best HDR experience. OLED panels allow for extremely fast response time, something that IPS or TN or VA panels cannot achieve.

Besides the quicker response times, OLED brings more accurate colors with deeper blacks and a high contrast ratio. This translates to an immersive and premium visual experience, be it in games or media consumption. At 27 inches, the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED is perfect for both. One issue with OLED is that it can suffer from screen burn-in, which is essentially the display retaining some ghostly visual elements, no matter what is on the screen.

Screen size: Unlike the 120Hz to 240Hz monitors that are available in all sizes, ranging from 24 inches all the way up to 49 inches and even bigger, the size options with 360Hz monitors are much more limited.

They are typically available in the 24 inches to 27 inches range. With this high a refresh rate, gamers looking for massive ultrawide displays will need to make a compromise as these monitors are targeted towards competitive games which require gamers to get up close and personal with the display, making 24 to 27 inches the ideal size.
