Weapon Skill: Quickstep
This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and buffed with Magic and Consumables
Forked Hatchet can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
Utilizes the light axe moveset, similar to the Icerind Hatchet.

The moveset itself is the same as the normal axe moves, but it comes out considerably faster.

Despite what the ingame stat page shows, this weapon does in fact deal pierce damage on a lot of its attacks. Only regular light attacks (1h and 2h) deal standard damage, every single other attack is thrust (including dual-wield attacks)
Causes blood loss buildup: (50).
Sell Value:   100
Base drop rate is 2% (at 100 Discovery).
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed and distance of some attacks has been increased and the recovery time has been reduced. Also the stagger damage of Axes’ guard counters has been increased. PVP's poise damage has also been reduced with this patch.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.
