Large Monster
Bird wyverns with impressive beaks and large ears. They tend to be skittish but will sometimes initiate attacks on a perceived threat. Yian Kut-Ku arrive in large groups during the season of Plenty in the Scarlet Forest. The absence of eggs or young suggests that the purpose of this is not to breed, but rather seek out mates and nourishment.

- The Yian Kut-Ku will tilt its head to the left as it raises both of its wings. Then, a glowing orange will start to form around its mouth, and after a while, it will fire it at its target. This is an attack reserved for distant hunters. It can do this move up to 2 times. When enraged, the maximum instance is raised to 4.
- This is a modified charge where the Yian Kut-Ku will run towards a hunter, with its head turning from side to side, while fire pours out of its mouth.
- The Yian Kut-Ku will jump towards a hunter's position to do a Beak Attack.
Large Fiery Ball - This is a modified Fiery Ball attack. This move starts the same, but it will pause longer before it spews the Fiery Ball. Then, upon reaching the ground, the fire will spread and linger for a couple of seconds.
- This is a variation of the charge where the Yian Kut-Ku lowers its face on the ground and pushes it with its legs towards a hunter. Once it reaches its destination, it will swing its head upwards. This attack can throw units off balance when hit directly.
