The Crushed Dreams armor is one of the few sets in The First Berserker Khazan that can imbue weapons with elemental damage — in this case, it's lightning. If you're planning on making a thematic build or one that abuses elemental weaknesses, then the Crushed Dreams set might be for you.
Unlike other armor sets in The First Berserker Khazan, the Crushed Dreams set works with every build, though it shines best when using a Spear.
If you're a fan of the latter and want to use lightning to beef up your damage, here's where you can get this armor set and its associated crafting scroll.
The Crushed Dreams set can be farmed from Elamein, the boss in the Devoured Village mission in Act 2.
She's a little hard to fight, especially if you're an aggressive player, and that's because she can completely block most incoming attacks. When Elamein blocks hits, her shield charges up, empowering her own attacks and damage output.
Beating Elamein will take a bit of practice and a lot of patience.
She has a lot of openings that you can punish, but that's about it. Unless you can break through her guard, you're better off waiting for those openings to present themselves and attacking accordingly.
If you'd rather craft the set instead, you can get its scroll in the Transcendental Sword bonus mission, which you can unlock by speaking to Blade Phantom after defeating Skalpel.
The scroll is in a trapped chest in the large hall near the Tomb of the Forgotten Blade Nexus.
Go to the Tomb of the Forgotten, then drop down the nearby broken bridge (you should be able to see the chest from here). The path to the chest is fairly straightforward — just follow the crypt halls and try to make your way to back to the large, open area as seen from the Blade Nexus.
Once you do reach the chest, open it, then immediately run or dodge backward.
The chest will explode, and it can kill you if you get hit. After the chest explodes, you'll be able to grab the Crushed Dreams scroll from its remains. You'll also get a Crushed Dreams Spear as a nice bonus.
