Sarada Uchiha is one of the main characters in the Boruto series, given that she's the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, two members of the main cast of the original Naruto series. Sarada aims to become the Hokage of Konoha and follow in the footsteps of Naruto Uzumaki. Being an Uchiha, Sarada was blessed with the power of the Sharingan, and thanks to her incredible training, she has mastered this eye greatly over the years.

While the Sharingan certainly was one of her strongest abilities until recently, she has now acquired a newly evolved version of this power, called the Mangekyo Sharingan. Naruto fans will be well aware of what this eye is capable of, and now, Sarada also possesses its powers. Sarada Uchiha was always destined to get the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Given how strong every main character is in Boruto, Sarada could not possibly reach this position with just a Sharingan. As fans have already seen in the Naruto series, the progression for the Uchiha sees them go from a Sharingan to a Mangekyo Sharingan, and then, possibly making it eternal.

In very rare cases, such as with Madara and Sasuke, they get the opportunity to turn this eye into a Rinnegan, and that is the progression that fans have seen in this predecessor series. For Sarada, achieving a dream as big as Hokage would certainly not have been possible with just a Sharingan, and as a result, fans always knew that she would end up awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan at some point.

This happened towards the end of Part 1 of Boruto, and, upon hearing about the death of the 7th Hokage, Sarada activated the Mangekyo Sharingan for the first time. Fans were clearly able to see her Mangekyo Sharingan design. It appears that her eyes have a sun-like pattern inside, with a dark round pupil, and several triangular arrows stemming from it, creating a sun inside.

It appears that Sarada did not know that she had awakened this power, however, Sasuke, who was in front of her, witnessed this with his own eyes, and he was able to see his daughter's newly acquired eye. Since then, Boruto has gone into a 3-year timeskip, and right now, Sarada is much stronger than she was back then.

It would be a fair assumption to say that she went on to master the powers of this eye during the timeskip, and that she has incredible abilities, strong enough to see her become a very strong candidate for the position of the next Hokage. For now, fans do not know what exactly Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan powers are.

However, as far as the standard Mangekyo Sharingan abilities go, Sarada is sure to have a few of them. For instance, the Mangekyo Sharingan offers more precise and fluid movements in combat, since the user can see more, and, as a result, react accordingly. It also helps the user see the most intricate details that even a regular fully matured Sharingan cannot.

In that regard, fans know what her eye is capable of. However, every Mangekyo Sharingan has individual abilities, usually one in each eye. In the case of Sarada, this ability has not been revealed to the fans. Still, fans would naturally wonder as to what ability she can utilize with her eyes, and a very strong contender for her powers is the ability of Amaterasu.

This is an ability that was first used by Itachi, using his Mangekyo Sharingan. Sasuke, Itachi's brother, had access to this power as well. Given that two brothers from the same bloodline had this power, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Sarada could very well end up having this power as well.

Of course, her Mangekyo Sharingan would still have another ability left, and, at the moment, it is not quite clear as to what this eye could possibly do. Still, there are plenty of powerful abilities that Sarada could gain, and, perhaps, a spacetime ability, just like her father's Rinnegan, could be a solid answer.

All this is just conjecture. However, one thing that fans can be absolutely sure about is the fact that she will gain overpowered abilities with her Mangekyo Sharingan. This is simply because she has to keep up with the likes of Boruto if she is to be relevant in the Two Blue Vortex series.

With regular powers, she can never hope to accomplish the same levels of strength as him. As a result, she has to get overpowered abilities so that she can fight against powerful individuals, just like Boruto. While her Mangekyo Sharingan abilities are not confirmed at this point in time, fans can rest assured that she will certainly get access to the Susanoo.

Every Mangekyo Sharingan user who awakens this power in both their eyes gains the ultimate ability of this eye, that is, the Susanoo. Sarada can surely use her eyes to create this giant construct of chakra around her, and utilize it in battle. It is only a matter of time before fans get to see her use this monstrously powerful ability in combat, and show everyone what she's truly capable of, and why she's worthy of becoming the 8th Hokage.

There is absolutely no denying the fact that the Mangekyo Sharingan is an incredible power. Fans have seen it on many occasions in Naruto, and, on most of these occasions, it has been the difference maker. While this eye is absolutely incredible, it also comes with a massive risk. The Mangekyo Sharingan causes the user's vision to deteriorate the more it is used.

Eventually, the user goes completely blind. The only way to counter that is to make one's Mangekyo Sharingan eternal, and that can be done by taking the eyes of a sibling. In the case of Sarada, this cannot be done. As such, she would have to figure out some other way to prevent permanent blindness from her Mangekyo Sharingan usage.

Interestingly, this is where Sarada's mother, Sakura, comes in. Fans know that Sakura is an incredible medical ninja and she will most likely have passed down the art of medical ninjutsu to her daughter. Using the Strength of a 100 Seals, Sarada can use the power of Mitotic Regeneration to heal any damage to her eyes due to overuse.

As a result, she can continuously spam the usage of Mangekyo Sharingan, even more than her own father, Sasuke. This would make her eyes incredible, and remove all barriers and restrictions for her in combat, making her not just a strength-based monster, but a truly overpowered ninja who can utilize the Mangekyo Sharingan as much as she wants.
