Venomous Fang is a Claw in Elden Ring. The Venomous Fang scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for an extra poison effect on top of the initial Physical Damage this weapon causes.
The Venomous Fang weapon can be found at the following location: Can be found in the Abandoned Cave in Caelid. The cave is above the swamp area and you have to walk along a branch to get to it. It's also completely filled with rot. The item can be found behind a Giant Poison Flower by jumping up the pile of dead Abductor Virgins behind it. [Elden Ring Map here]
When poison is procced on an enemy using this weapon, the resulting poison effect will deal double the damage per tick but last a third of the amount of time compared to poison procced by other means. This is referenced as "Deadly Poison" in the weapons description. Overall, Deadly Poison will do less damage than regular poison if both are left for their full duration. (the Serpentbone Blade has the same effect, while the Fetid Pot has a slightly weaker one)
Weapon Skill: Quickstep
This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War
Venomous Fang can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
Causes Poison Buildup: (72)
Sell Value: 100
if you change this to poison scaling it keeps the damage of deadly poison while using the duration of normal poison, essentially tripling the damage.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed of some attacks has been increased and the recovery time has been reduced. Also, poise damage of Claws has been increased. Weapon Arts remain unchanged.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.
