Shamshir is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring. The Shamshir scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for high dexterity characters who can excel at slashing attacks while spinning.

The Shamshir weapon can be found at the following location: On a body located at the bottom of Highroad Cave, on a platform after the waterfall section, being feasted on by Giant Bats. [Elden Ring Map here]

Weapon Skill: Spinning Slash
This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War
Shamshir can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
Sell Value:   100
This weapon has a unique R1 chain shared with Scimitar, consisting of more graceful, flowing attacks.  Functionally very similar to the normal curved sword moveset, yet faster and it does advance the user further making it the longest curved sword.
Wielded by Millicent, with the Waterfowl Dance skill.
Wielded, but not dropped, by some Second-Generation Albinaurics.
Shamshir is actually a scimitar. The only difference is the terminology. "Shamshir" is Persian, while "scimitar" is Arabic.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, poise damage has been reduced, but only for PVP.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below. Additionally, the running attack speed, first attack speed of straight sword has increased. The attack recovery time has also decreased.
