Sony is releasing a PlayStation Gaming Monitor, but it's only available in the US and Japan

Sony revealed its latest piece of hardware at tonight's State of Play event: a 27" Gaming Monitor that's coming only to the US and Japan.
The company is expanding its hardware offering even further, following its PlayStation Portal remote player with a desktop gaming monitor, complete with charging hook for your PS5 controller. It'll also pair with the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers.
The monitor will be released next year, though there's no date or price just yet. It's also unclear why it's only coming to the US and Japan.

The reveal of the monitor means the PS5 console will be playable in multiple ways, be it on your TV, via handheld, or at your desk.
Indeed, while some may have been sceptical of the Portal, it's proven surprisingly popular and can now stream PS5 games directly.
