Before Diablo 4 Season 11 even starts, one class is the clear frontrunner for the best the season has to offer thanks to its new Unique.
Diablo 4 Season 11 seems primed to follow a trend started in Season 10 of elevating one class far beyond its alternatives. Despite Diablo 4 Season 10 having a fairly balanced meta overall, thanks to the new build options Chaos Armor unlocked, there was still a definitive winner in terms of the strongest class. Now, Season 11 is giving this same class a set of new tools to work with that should allow it to maintain supremacy even after Chaos Armor goes away after Season 10 ends.
Several new Uniques coming in Diablo 4 Season 11 are likely going to define the meta, including the Sorcerer's new Orsivane Unique Mace and the Rogue's new Death's Pavane Unique Pants, which will likely see both classes climb the ranks of Diablo 4 build tier lists. With Diablo 4 Season 11 introducing the Tower alongside the return of Leaderboards, creating a competitive meta class will be even more necessary than before if players want to make their mark. The class that will likely have the most competitive Leaderboard category is the Spiritborn, as it is set to be the best Diablo 4 Season 11 class once again.
Since the Spiritborn's introduction in the Vessel of Hatred DLC, it has remained a meta threat in almost every season since. Even when it hasn't been at the top of the meta, the Spiritborn rarely has any low-tier builds and has remained a flexible class for both Lair Boss fights and the Pit. Even with Diablo 4 Season 11 adding new activities like the Tower, and throwing the Lesser Evils into the Pit, Helltides, and Kurast Undercity, the Spiritborn should have what it takes to excel in all of them.
Based on the Pit ranking on the Helltides website, the Spiritborn was the best class of Diablo 4 Season 10 in terms of Pit tier clears. The highest tier cleared by a Spiritborn player was tier 144, which was completed in 13 minutes and 50 seconds. This is an especially impressive number when considering that the Druid could essentially one-shot enemies with the right Companion build setup in Season 10. The Spiritborn's mobility is likely the deciding factor in its success, with several S-Tier Spiritborn builds capitalizing on this fact.
Without Chaos Armor to support it, Season 11 Spiritborn players are going to want to rely on the class's new Path of the Emissary Unique Boots. This Unique comes with a fantastic ability that invokes the Core Skill of the Spiritborn's primary Spirit Hall every 12-4 meters they move, on top of giving the class even greater movement capabilities and increasing the power of their Core Skills.
The Spiritborn has four Spirit Halls to choose from: Eagle, Centipede, Jaguar, and Gorilla. The Core Skills associated with these Spirit Halls are:
All of these Core Skills have the potential to be the focal point of S-Tier Spiritborn builds, with some already achieving that tier without the Path of the Emissary Unique. With this new Unique added to the Spiritborn's arsenal, players will basically get a free automatic cast of one of the class's best skills just by moving, something that is already crucial to the Spiritborn's playstyle. Coupled with affixes that increase movement speed and Core Skill damage, it's clear why the Spiritborn is already the frontrunner for best class in Diablo 4 Season 11.
